Eucalyptus Trees
I wanted to make these wonderful trees I saw in a catalog. To buy them they were quite expensive. I wanted to try my hand at making them. I think they came out even better than the originals and I made them for a fraction of the cost. The best part them smell amazing. They look wonderful on our mantel. I also found battery powered mini white lights that make them sparkle. I like them so much I might leave them up all year without the lights.
I started with a grapevine form in the shape of a cone.
Then I layered dry kiwi eucalyptus to create the tree branches. Hot glue worked the best. This process took many hours to make 3 trees but I can be very meticulous with my tree branches.
